Scope

Testing & Commissioning of 36 x 33kV TAMCO Panels, 47 x 11kV TAMCO Panels, Multilin Protection relays and 18 x 33/11kV 20MVA Transformers across 8 substations.

Since the initial award of a contract by Cardno BEC Engineers for pre-commissioning of 8 x 11kV and 33kV switchboards for the Lihir Gold MOPU Project (the largest gold plant upgrade in the world), Voltex Power Engineers has continued to provide professional guidance and training on-site regarding recloser operations and protection grading, managing major breakdown situations, reviewing and writing SOP’s including SF6 Gas Safe Management Practices, and designing relay retrofits to improve Newcrest’s Power and Utilities operation and reliability.

Voltex Systems & Integration installed ETAP RealTime, to upgrade the monitoring and control of their independent generation and power systems.
