Jean is a qualified CPA with a Bachelor degree in Commerce (Delhi University) and holds a Masters degree in Accounting and Financial Management (La Trobe University). His career spans more than 13 years in the services sector and encompasses a well-rounded skill set.
In the Marine services industry, Jean improved gross margins through building new relationships with suppliers, and reduced insurance premiums by 25% through comprehensive reviews of company assets and liabilities. The board of directors made a special commendation for his proactive research and feasibility reports for business diversification. During the sale of company in 2013, Jean managed the legal, financial and tax due diligence processes.
After Jean identified procedural flaws in controls at an import and distribution company, he prepared guidelines for the CEO’s approval and implementation. He also streamlined GST and Superannuation payments, significantly reducing preparation times.
He joined Voltex in 2017 as Group Accountant managing the financial operations of the business and over the years has developed a keen sense to drive extensive and sustainable business growth. He has led design and implementation of business strategies, plans and procedures and continues to be proactive in setting comprehensive goals in performance excellence and growth.
