Scope

IEC61850 Power Control, Protection systems and Logic redesign and commissioning of 20 IEDs.

Energy Power Systems Australia (EPSA), the agents for Caterpillar generators requested Voltex Power Engineers to provide their expertise in preparing protection, logic files, IEC61850 configuration and commissioning of 20 IEDs for a Gas Generation project in Wandoan, Western Queensland.

With delays on the project and protection design (by others) not delivering the expected outcomes, re-design of settings and logic and retesting became a critical path to completion. Voltex introduced additional QA resources to complete the commissioning and documentation to achieve Practical Completion for the client.
